Case Study
Voet Van Afrika Marathon Event:
Website Development | Social Media Management | Graphic Design
The Voet van Afrika Marathon is one of South Africa’s most iconic running events, drawing athletes from across the country. Ahead of the 2025 race, the organizing committee approached me for a complete digital revamp. I delivered a redesigned website that went live on 9 May 2025, took over their social media management (since May 2024), and created all visual branding elements for the event.

Objectives
Website Design & Development: The main goal was to create a clean, professional website that made race information and registration easily accessible for participants.
Social Media Management: In addition to the website, the organizers needed a consistent digital presence across social media to boost awareness and engagement.
Branding and Graphic Design: They also required comprehensive branding support for all print and digital assets used before and during the event.
Solutions
New Website: I redesigned the entire website, giving it a modern look and ensuring it performed seamlessly across all devices.
Social Media Management: I also took over their social media channels in 2024, managing both organic content and paid campaigns. This included writing all copy, designing graphics, scheduling posts, and monitoring engagement.
Branding: I am creating all visual elements for the 2025 event—ranging from flyers, banners, and booklets to digital visuals used across various platforms—ensuring a unified and professional presentation across all touchpoints.
Results
The new website launched smoothly ahead of the event, providing a user-friendly experience for runners and visitors. Social media engagement increased significantly, with consistent and visually appealing content driving more interaction and visibility. The event branding received overwhelmingly positive feedback, and the organizing team was pleased with how every visual detail—from online posts to printed materials—worked together to strengthen the event’s identity.
